TYLER, MARTY (pictured after local Senior title, 2004) AND REST OF RAVENS READY TO TAKE ON DISTRICT CHAMPS FOR 2008 PROVINCIAL TITLE THIS WEEKEND IN STE. THERESE
COACH BOB "The Grouch" JADAH SAYS:
"This is a huge moment for Hemmingford. I know that local softball teams won big local tournaments in the 70's and 80's. I know that Huntingdon and Napierville have been very respectable in provincial hockey tournaments. To my knowledge, however, no team from the Monteregie has ever been crowned Provincial champions in any sport. It is an immense testimony to these players that they stand at the threshold of local sporting history: to come out of a small town and be the very best at their level in all Quebec.
Old-timers like Gerry D'Amour and Bob Chambers, and youngsters like Claude Rougeau and  Mario Dam should be proud. It's their legacy."
