"No players in any sport have ever done so much to bring honour and respect to
Hemmingford. The old softball teams of the 70's and 80's spread our reputation from Champlain, NY to Mercier. Our town soccer program impresses from Lacolle to Napierville. The Ravens played hard and well, and showed a sportsmanship that speaks well of our program and athletes. That word's been heard from St. Felix to Beauport to Aylmer. I'm proud. The whole town should be."
CLOSE TO CHAMPS; FAR FROM CHUMPS
Ravens muster up smiles for the camera after dropping a lifeless 9-1 decision in the provincial Junior BB final game. The Hemmingford entry ends the season with 84 provincial teams ranked below them, and only one above.
(Left to right; bottom row): 'Bionic' Braden Simpson, Ty 'Tanic' Jadah, Carter 'Smurf' Murphy, 'Jolting' Jarred Murphy, Marty 'The Party' Chambers, Chris 'Cash' Jadah; (back row) Marc-Andre 'Lightning' Lebeau, 'Fearless' Francois Lebeau, Colin 'Bullett' Bernstein, Bob 'Bulldog' Paquette, Rob 'Yoda' Jadah, Eric 'Happy' Houle, Dustin 'Dusty Dinkleman' Wallace, Dave 'Big Dick' Dickson, 'Crash' Corey Morency, 'Dandy' Dan Lebeau.
In winning their first three games of the provincials, the Ravens pushed their record to a scorching 12 and 1 since July 5.

TEAM AS STREAK ENDS IN FINALS
(Ste. Therese, Sep. 21) - Fatigue and injury did what no Junior BB team could over the last couple of months in dealing a crushing blow to the Ravens in the final game of the provincial championships.
"Four pressure games in a span of nineteen hours certainly did clip our wings a mite," agreed coach Jadah.
"Hearing that our two best pitchers came up lame this morning was like blowing a tire on the Decarie Expressway"
The Raven bats were equally disabled, managing only five hits and one run against a soft-tossing right-handed Beauport pitcher
the first three games.
The Ravens had reached the afternoon final by winning an early 8:30 start against St. Felix de Valois. The day before, the Ravens had eliminated Aylmer with a late-inning comeback in a game that ended at 10:00 pm.
"Not enough hits and not enough pitching," said Jadah, whose coaching was described as impeccable by at least one observer.
"But not enough sleep and not enough gusto either."
The Ravens return next year, and will try to sleep before games, not during. (
